We are an aspirational project developing a chaplaincy service for those experiencing homelessness in the city of Brighton and Hove.

Chaplaincies already exist in many settings where people experience deep vulnerability - e.g. in prisons, hospitals and hospices - and the need for this vital work amongst those in vulnerable housing situations has been demonstrated.

Many people facing homelessness are extremely vulnerable and have experienced trauma, not least that of not having a home. Our vision is that chaplaincy support might be available to people in this position, to people of faith or no faith, and bring some hope and some comfort.

Lucy McGrath, former Lead Chaplain at YMCA DownsLink Group initiated the project with support from Justlife and One Church and the project has now found a home with Brighton and Hove Faith in Action.
